Many businesses have started taking new approaches to increasing their overall performance, and one area of emphasis right now is the treatment of employees. The job market can be very competitive for workers, but employers also need to differentiate themselves in order to attract quality candidates. Many of these employers are now asking what employees want to see from them. The research problem in this study concerns the impact a relaxed work environment has on a company's measurable productivity. All employees want to enjoy the work they do and the environment they can do it in. An internal factor that companies need to consider is the experiences of their employees and whether changing some of the traditional day-to-day expectations they set on their employees can actually lead to greater reward for the company.
